Eden's love for Pokemon sparked early on, playing hide and seek with her Sunflora or cuddling her Leafeon. However, tragedy also wandered into the boy's life early on. His Dad, the famous Dragon-Type Trainer Thunder D. Rain, had died in a storm chasing after a mystical Pokemon when Eden was only ten years old. Ironically, this tragedy would also bring a new light into Eden's life. In the many hours Eden had spent at his father's grave, he made his first Pokemon friend outside of his grandma's shop. A little Litwick started to peak up behind his father's gravestone whenever Eden would shed a tear. It didn't take long for the two to become inseparable. Spending many hours in the cemetery, Eden was introduced to a whole new world of Pokemon - the fabulous Ghost Types. Not much to his neighbours liking as Ghost Types were feared amongst most people.[break][break] For his fifteenth birthday, Eden received a package from his mum, the famous Pokemon Researcher Camilla D. Rain, who sadly only rarely made it home. The egg was snow-white with an icy pattern. At first, Eden was scared that something was wrong with it as it never warmed until one moon filled night - the egg hatched, and an Alolan Sandshrew was born.
